1. Introduction
ShowConnect is a free lead capture tool built by My Card Post (mycardpost.com). It helps sports card sellers capture buyer emails at card shows and follow up with automated email sequences. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
By submitting your email through a ShowConnect page, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
When a buyer submits a lead capture form, we collect:
- — Email address — required to send follow-up messages.
- — First name (optional) — used to personalize emails.
- — Show name (optional) — the card show at which you signed up, for context in emails.
- — Seller attribution — which seller's page you signed up through, for referral tracking.
We do not collect payment information, passwords, or any sensitive personal data through ShowConnect.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used exclusively to:
- — Send a welcome email and a 6-email automated drip sequence on behalf of the seller whose page you visited.
- — Notify you of inventory updates and new listings from that seller on My Card Post.
- — Track referral attribution so the seller can earn rewards through the My Card Post referral program.
- — Display aggregate, non-identifiable lead counts on the seller's dashboard.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Email Communications
By submitting your email on a ShowConnect page, you consent to receive a series of follow-up emails from the seller whose page you visited. These emails are sent via Resend, our transactional email provider. Resend processes your email address to deliver messages on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy policy.
The drip sequence typically consists of up to 6 emails over several weeks. You may unsubscribe at any time (see Section 6).
5. Referral Tracking
If a seller has enabled referral attribution, your signup may be associated with a My Card Post referral link. This means that if you subsequently create an account or make a purchase on My Card Post, the seller may receive credit under the My Card Post referral or ambassador program. This association is stored alongside your lead record and is used solely for calculating referral rewards — it is not shared with third parties.
6. Unsubscribe & Data Deletion
To unsubscribe from emails: Every email in our drip sequence contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it will immediately stop all future emails from that seller's ShowConnect page. You can also ask the seller to remove you directly.
To request deletion of your data: Email us at privacy@mycardpost.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address you used when signing up. We will remove your record within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
We retain lead records for as long as the associated seller account is active, or until you request deletion. Unsubscribed records are retained in a suppressed state to prevent re-enrollment — we do not remove unsubscribed emails from our suppression list without a separate deletion request.
8. Security
We store lead data in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (a managed cloud provider). Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel. We use SSL/TLS for all data in transit. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is perfectly secure — please contact us immediately at privacy@mycardpost.com if you believe your data has been compromised.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ShowConnect after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
